What is it?
Put simply Roti King is one of our favourites here at BYOB London. It’s a no-frills family-run Malaysian restaurant. Roti (small flatbread) is constantly being made fresh on the grill in front of you as you enter and this smell (along with the curries brewing) fills the place with an amazing aroma.

What should you get?
Roti King has to be one of the best value for restaurants around considering its quality – a Roti Canai (2 pieces of roti with Curry Dhal) will set you back just £5 and is ideal as a sharing starter or a single dish. If you’re wanting a big portion check out some of the Malaysian rice dishes such as the Nasi Goreng. Flavours are strong and rich, you’ll be wiping away every last drop from the bowl with your roti. If you fancy noodles check out the soup noodle dishes (the laksa and tom yum soup are both very rich and flavoursome).
One of the best BYOBs in London
We’re unashamed regulars at Roti King and we’ve never been without there being a queue, our advice is go there early (as soon as you finish work if it’s on a weekday) or be prepared to wait up to 45 minutes at busiest periods.
There’s an M&S in Euston station which is 30 seconds around the corner so you can grab some drinks beforehand. Corkage is £10 per table and they’re closed on Sundays.
