What is it?
Elahee Tandoori is a classic, old school type, Indian BYOB in Hornsey (just next to Crouch End).
The restaurant isn’t a looker from the outside but it’s absolutely fine inside. You don’t go to Elahee for the looks though, it’s built its reputation locally over the past 30 years due to its tasty traditional dishes and great service.
What should you get?
The menu contains a range of tandoori dishes, biryanis, traditional curries and house specials. It’s really reminiscent of Indian home-cooking. We recommend the Chicken Karahi, it’s a fragrant favourite, you’ll be mopping up every last bit of the sauce with your naan bread! There’s a good selection of veggie side dishes which can also be doubled up as mains.
Open from 6pm-11pm 7 days a week, corkage is free and it’s just a 5 minute walk from Hornsey station.
