What is it?
Bintang is a pan-asian BYOB restaurant in Camden. What does pan-asian even mean? In short it means that you don’t have to fret between choosing a Japanese restaurant for katsu curry or a Thai for some chicken satay skewers – Bintang offers the very best of Asian cuisine – offering their own delicious twists on the classics. Ideal for groups, it’s got an inside & outside area (perfect for the summer).

What should you get?
Filipino food is rarer to come by in London, so we recommend dabbling with some of Bintang’s Filipino fare. Some of our particular favourites at BYOB London are the crispy BBQ lamb ribs (which are as delicious as they sound) and the dirty fried rice (which comes with chicken, beef, shrimp, bacon and more). Both these dishes should be given some serious consideration if it’s your first time here.
If you fancy a curry there are multiple options available; from the Japanese classic Katsu curry to the timeless Lamb Rendang and their signature Bintang curry. Curries also come with a veggie option which is especially tasty in the form of aubergine & tofu with cheese.
Bintang always have some extra special dishes on offer – when we went the Filipino Rendang was on the menu and simply just divine; slow cooked curried lamb (on the bone) cooked in coconut and lemongrass based curry sauce. Highly recommended.

Best from the Bintang Menu
- Crispy BBQ Lamb Ribs – one of Bintang’s famous signature dishes
- Dirty Fried Rice – if you’re starving and gagging for carbs, you can’t go wrong with this.
- Katsu Curry – veggie & chicken options are both delicious and definitely scratch the katsu curry itch.
Corkage differs depending on the day of week and beverage. Beer/Cans are £1 per bottle/can whilst large Beer bottles are £2.50 per bottle. Wine corkage is £3 per bottle Mon-Thurs and £5 Fri-Sun. As a result it can get rather costly if you’re having a few – something to keep in mind.
